Sportcentrum Galgenwaard 🏋‍♀️

Nog maar 5 dagen totdat de Dutch Jigsaw Nationals los gaan in Sportcentrum Galgenwaard! Het ideale moment dus om onze locatie te introduceren. In de video zie je alvast hoe je de ingang van de wedstrijdhal kan vinden 🗺

Sportcentrum Galgenwaard is een van de grootste binnensporthallen van Nederland. Het vormt samen met de zuidtribune van Stadion Galgenwaard één gebouw. Stadion Galgenwaard is het stadion van voetbalclub FC Utrecht. ⚽️

In sportcafé De Heksenketel koopt u eten en drinken. Overdag worden bijvoorbeeld tosti's geserveerd! 🍞 Vanuit het restaurant kun je de wedstrijdhal zien. Bovendien zijn er tribunes, dus neem vooral publiek mee!

❗️Belangrijk: er zijn geen buitenschoenen toegestaan in de sporthal. Neem dus sokken, pantoffels of sportschoenen mee! Of koop exclusieve Speedpuzzling The Netherlands sokken 🧦

Only 5 days left until the Dutch Jigsaw Nationals kick off at Sportcentrum Galgenwaard! So, the perfect moment to introduce our venue. In the video, you can already see how to find the entrance to the competition area 🗺

Sportcentrum Galgenwaard is one of the largest indoor sports halls in the Netherlands. Together with the south stand of Stadion Galgenwaard, it forms a single building. Stadion Galgenwaard is the home stadium of football club FC Utrecht. ⚽️

You can buy food and drinks at sports café De Heksenketel. During the day, for example, toasted sandwiches are served! 🍞 You can see the competition hall from the restaurant. Furthermore, there are stands, so be sure to bring an audience!

❗️Important: outdoor shoes are not allowed in the sports hall. So bring socks, slippers, or sports shoes! Or buy exclusive Speedpuzzling The Netherlands socks 🧦

Parkeertickets en bushaltes 🚗

Over iets meer dan een week zijn de Dutch Nationals! Weet jij al hoe je naar De Galgenwaard komt? Sporthal 1 van Sportcentrum Galgenwaard is goed bereikbaar met zowel de auto als het openbaar vervoer. Let op: de sporthal ligt achter Stadion Galgenwaard, het stadion van voetbalclub FC Utrecht, tegen de Zuidtribune aan, tegenover het Conclusion gebouw en de BP. Het adres is: Herculesplein 341, 3584 AA Utrecht.

🚗 Je kunt parkeren bij Q-Park Galgenwaard. Als je van tevoren reserveert kun je in het weekend voor €10,- per dag parkeren (https://www.q-park.nl/nl-nl/parkeren/utrecht/goedkoop-parkeren-utrecht/galgenwaard/). Gratis parkeren kan op de Koningsweg en op de Mytylweg (sportvelden Kampong). Beiden zijn ongeveer 10 minuten lopen.

🚌 Kom je met het openbaar vervoer? Vanaf station Utrecht Centraal gaan meerdere bussen richting De Galgenwaard. Met buslijn 341 stap je uit bij halte Stadion Galgenwaard. Vanaf deze bushalte is het ongeveer 7 minuten lopen naar de sporthal. Je kunt ook met buslijn 9 uitstappen bij Diakonessen-Noord, maar dan moet je 15 minuten lopen.

🚲 Met de fiets kun je voor de deur parkeren op het Herculesplein.

The Dutch Nationals are in just over a week! Do you already know how to get to De Galgenwaard? Sportcentrum Galgenwaard is easily accessible by both car and public transport. Please note: the sports hall is located behind Galgenwaard Stadium, home to FC Utrecht football club, next to the Zuidtribune, opposite the Conclusion building and the BP. The address is: Herculesplein 341, 3584 AA Utrecht.

🚗 You can park at Q-Park Galgenwaard. If you reserve in advance, you can park on weekends for €10 per day (https://www.q-park.nl/en-gb/parking/utrecht/goedkoop-parkeren-utrecht/galgenwaard/). Free parking is available on Koningsweg and Mytylweg (Kampong sports fields). Both are about a 10-minute walk away

🚌 Are you coming by public transport? Several buses run from Utrecht Central Station towards De Galgenwaard. With bus line 341, get off at the Stadion Galgenwaard stop. From this bus stop, it is about a 7-minute walk to the sports hall. You can also take bus line 9 and get off at Diakonessen-Noord, but then you will have to walk for 15 minutes.

🚲 You can park your bike right in front of the building at Herculesplein.

Throwback World Series 🌍

Terwijl wij staan te popelen om jullie over twee weken te verwelkomen op de Dutch Jigsaw Nationals, blikken we nog even terug op allereeste in München! 🇩🇪

Bij het evenement kwamen de beste puzzelaars van de wereld bij elkaar. Onder hen waren ook 16 Nederlanders 🇳🇱 Persoonlijke records werden verbroken, onderlinge competitie steeg en een nieuwe puzzelberoemdheid is ontstaan 🎥👀.

De helft van de Nederlanders eindigde in de top 100, waarvoor een groot applaus 👏 In de top 10 zagen we Inge terug op plek 10 en Maartje op plek 5. In elke challenge zagen we deze twee terug ij de top 20. Maartje won zelfs twee van de challenges! 🏆 De puzzelaars hebben nogmaals bewezen dat Nederland een puzzelland is waar niemand omheen kan! 🧡

Naast competitie was er ook veel gezelligheid en lol, waaraan de trading cards een grote bijdrage hebben geleverd 🤭

While we are eagerly waiting to welcome you to the Dutch Jigsaw Nationals in two weeks, we are taking a quick look back at the very first Speedpuzzle World Series in Munich! 🇩🇪

The event brought together the world's best puzzlers. Among them were 16 Dutch participants 🇳🇱 Personal records were broken, interpersonal competition intensified, and a new puzzle celebrity emerged 🎥👀.

Half of the Dutch participants finished in the top 100, for which they deserve a big round of applause 👏 In the top 10, we saw Inge Sinot at spot 10 and Maartje van der Meer at spot 5. In every challenge, we saw these two return to the top 20. Maartje even won two of the challenges! 🏆 The puzzlers have once again proven that the Netherlands is a puzzle country that no one can ignore! 🧡

Besides the competition, there was also a lot of camaraderie and fun, to which the trading cards made a major contribution 🤭

Schrijf je dan in voor de Friendly Race via de Puzzled app of onze online omgeving. Tijdens de Friendly Race maak je een puzzel van 300 stukjes in 1 uur en een kwartier. Het laatste kwartier mag iemand uit het publiek je helpen om de puzzel binnen de tijd af te krijgen!

Doe jij mee aan de solo wedstrijd en heb jij supporters die altijd al een keertje speedpuzzelen hebben willen uitproberen? Of familie en vrienden die stiekem best geïnteresseerd zijn in jouw hobby? Dit is hun moment! Tussen de solo voorrondes en finale vindt de Friendly Race plaats. Perfect voor iedereen die het speedpuzzelen eens wil uitproberen. Zeg het voort!

Social media assistent(en) SPNL gezocht! 🤳

Onze stichting groeit, wat natuurlijk fanstastisch is, maar dat betekent ook dat er steeds meer werk te doen is! Daarom zijn we op zoek naar mensen die het leuk vindt om (af en toe) te assisteren met de socials!

❗ Voordat je verder leest: voor de Nationals zijn we op zoek naar een aantal mensen die foto's willen maken voor stories etc. in de rondes dat ze zelf niet puzzelen. Lijkt het je leuk om alleen hiermee te helpen, stuur dan ook een DM!

We zouden graag zou graag op onze socials nog beter laten zien wat voor mooie community we hebben. Denk aan 'Puzzelaar van de week', feestdaggerelateerde posts en andere toffe ideeën. Momenteel hebben we daar naast andere PR- en bestuurstaken niet genoeg tijd voor. Lijkt het jou leuk om dit (en meer) te doen? Stuur dan een DM of mail [email protected].

Je taken zullen bestaan uit:
- Socials posts maken
- Foto's, video's en stories maken tijdens evenementen.

Our organissation is growing, which is fantastic of course, but that also means there is more and more work to do! That is why we are looking for people who enjoy assisting with the socials (occasionally)!

❗ Before you read on: for the Nationals, we are looking for a number of people who are willing to take photos for the stories etc. in the rounds when they are not puzzling themselves. If you would like to help with just this, please send a DM as well!

We would love to showcase our wonderful community even better on our socials. Think of 'Puzzler of the Week', holiday-related posts, and other cool ideas. Nerdland Festival 🤓

Exciting nieuws! Dit jaar staan wij samen met Speedpuzzling Belgium op het Nerdland Festival in Wachtebeke (België) om speedpuzzelen te introduceren aan een nieuw publiek! 🎪 Gedurende alle festivaldagen kunnen festivalgangers kennis maken met speedpuzzelen door een puzzel van 88 stukjes, gesponsord door Travel Puzzles, zo snel mogelijk op te lossen.

Het Nerdlandfestival viert dit jaar zijn 5e editie. As big fans of the festival, our board noticed that there is a lot of overlap between the interests of visitors to jigsaw puzzle competitions and the Nerdland Festival. 👾 We therefore hope that a lot of new people will get hooked on speed puzzling!
