Day 2 in Kefalonia: sunshine, a cool breeze, and the perfect excuse to lace up our hiking shoes. 🌿
We explored the hiking routes of the Municipality of Sami, three trails that connect historic landmarks, religious sites, archaeological treasures, and landscapes of rare natural beauty. From the mountain village of Makryotika down to the coastal port of Sami, every turn had a new view.
I simply followed my favourite guide (my husband 😍), and everything fell into place. Many kilometres later, I can say it wasn't easy, but I never gave up, and every step was worth it.

These places are more than ruins.
Standing among old stones warmed by the sun, with only the breeze and the silence for company, you feel a simple truth: nothing is permanent, nothing is guaranteed. And yet, memory always finds a way to endure. ✨
And we will be continuing to discover/explore this amazing island 🏝 💙 for more 2 weeks.
