Saturday the 12th saw me happily spinning away in the garden of Het Huis Verloren (The Lost House) in Hoorn, and explaining the principles of spinning and the properties of fibres to all and sundry. The occasion was the 50-year jubilee of our local weaving circle, Weefkring Hoorn (weefkringhoorn.nl). Inside were our other members, showing all the phases of dressing a loom and showing off our weavings and other related skills. Result: five new members and lots of newsletter subscriptions! 🥰
