๐Ÿฅ•

Plan your personal visit and compare our varieties in the field.

We are pleased to invite you to our Carrot Variety Field Demonstration in Dronten during weeks 38, 39, and 40.

During a personal visit, you will have the opportunity to evaluate our carrot varieties under the same practical growing conditions and compare them side by side.

As all varieties are grown side by side, you gain a clear and objective view of the differences in yield, uniformity, foliage health, root quality, and overall robustness. This makes it easier to choose the variety that best fits your soil type, growing system, and target market.

During this demo, we will present:
โ€ข Proven varieties with consistent performance
โ€ข New varieties from our breeding program, ready for the future
โ€ข Solutions focused on quality, uniformity, and storage potential
โ€ข Varieties for both the fresh market and the processing industry

This gives you valuable insights not only into what performs well today, but also into the varieties that are ready for the future.

Our crop specialists are happy to take the time to look at the different varieties with you, exchange experiences, and answer your questions. Because the demonstration is by appointment only, there is plenty of opportunity for personal advice tailored to your specific situation.

๐Ÿ“Location: Wisentweg 13, 8251 PB, Dronten, The Netherlands
๐Ÿ“†When: Weeks 38, 39, and 40 (between September 14 and October 2, 2026)

Would you like to experience the differences for yourself and make your variety choices for the upcoming season with confidence? Get in touch with our sales specialists to schedule a visit at a time that suits you best.

Every great tomato season starts long before the first plant goes into the ground.

In Episode 2 of Follow a Grower in Spain, Ana and Mari take us to their greenhouse in Almerรญa, where they're getting ready for the new season. Together with Antonio Estรฉvez from Solplast, they talk about one of the most important preparation steps: solarization.

Why does it matter? Solarization helps create the right conditions for a healthy crop and is an essential part of preparing the greenhouse for the season ahead. Antonio shares why this practice is so important and how growers can make the most of it.

But when it comes to protecting tomato crops from challenges such as ToBRFV, preparation doesn't stop there. Choosing the right seed plays a crucial role, too.
Stay tuned for our next chapter, where Ana and Mari will take us deeper into the topic of seed selection and ToBRFV-resistant varieties.

Always strong. Adaptable carrot varieties provide flexibility and peace of mind

Variables like soil types, the weather and altitudes are beyond the control of any grower. However, they could force them to take drastic action to adapt. But what if their carrot varieties adapt so they donโ€™t have to?

BASF | Nunhems offer a range of varieties that grow under many different and dynamic circumstances.

These allow growers to grow the same variety across different altitudes, soil types and even changing weather conditions, without having to change their growing programs. That is how we help replace limitations with options, flexibility and peace of mind. Itโ€™s just one of the ways we support growers all around the world in growing a profitable crop.

Great innovations are the result of great teamwork.
More than ten years ago, our breeders set out to solve key challenges for short-day onion growers. After years of research, field trials and collaboration across teams, that work became our three new short-day Onion Varieties: Adhora, Rosefire and Isidea.
One year after launch, we're proud to see these varieties performing strongly in growers' fields and helping deliver the quality, uniformity and reliability that modern production demands.
As we recently celebrated International Friendship Day, we were reminded that innovation is never the result of one person alone. Behind every successful variety is a network of breeders, researchers, technical experts, sales teams and growers working together toward a common goal.
Behind every onion is a story of innovation. Behind these three are years of collaboration, a clear grower need, and the dedication of countless people working together to make it possible.
To everyone who contributed to this journey, and to the growers who place their trust in our innovations: thank you for helping turn decades of dedication into lasting impact in the field.
