From discarded to designed.
This private renovation project in Antwerp brings circular thinking into architectural detail.

The “Terra Concept” elements were produced from recycled plant pots, transforming everyday discarded plastics into refined architectural surfaces and spaces.

A restrained palette, soft greens, raw brick edges, reflective water, and reused materials create a calm urban retreat hidden inside the city block.

Architecture is no longer only about building new — it’s about redefining and adding circular value in what already exists.

Licht, lijn en materiaal in balans.
In het historische Dudok-gebouw in het centrum van Arnhem nadert dit renovatieproject voor architecten buro Opzoom zijn voltooiing. De vloerafwerking van The Good Floor — recycled terrazzo — in classic wit gecombineerd met warm grijs, is inmiddels geplaatst en versterkt de rustige, tegelijk sfeervolle en tijdloze interieur.

Custom recycled terrazzo developed for a cosy family home renovation in the centre of Utrecht. Soft mineral tones layered with warm terra fragments create a surface that feels both refined and timeless — carefully composed by the owners to complement the architectural and family language of the project.

Colour that shapes the space. Calm that enhances the architecture.

In this project, the floor with warm terra particles is not a background element — it is part of the spatial experience. The soft recycled terrazzo-inspired finish, combined with warm earthy tones and clean architectural lines, creates a refined sense of quiet luxury.

Paired with walls in a warm burgundy wine red (NCS S 4040-Y70R), the space gains depth, warmth and a strong architectural identity without losing its minimal character.

High-end interiors require flooring that adds atmosphere without overpowering the design. Subtle in appearance. Strong in detail. Made to support architecture at its best.

New design. A circular-driven concept for a new architectural project. Bring a fine balance between aesthetics and sustainability. Designed to specify.

Base tone: NCS 4005-Y20R — warm, neutral, and highly adaptable within spatial compositions.
Combined with terra, snow, moon, and translucent recycled plastic granulate (100%), warm controlled variation, depth, and refined highlights.

Design and project will be anchored by recycled terrazzo flooring — durable, circular, and inherently expressive in large or smaller scale applications.

40 bathrooms finished with recycled terrazzo flooring — warm white tones infused with plastic granulate sourced directly from the hotel’s own waste stream. Circular by design, precise in ex*****on.

Het Kontakt der Kontinenten — a historic municipal landmark just outside Soesterberg — now carries a renewed interior that respects its past while embedding material innovation for the future.

A careful revitalisation of the only Dudok building in Arnhem — De Nederlanden van 1845 (1939), home to opZoom Architecten.

A landmark of cultural heritage in the heart of the city, redefined through a forward-looking approach to sustainability and material refinement.

Across 300 m² of office space, recycled terrazzo with 100% translucent granulate is applied — introducing depth, light interplay, and a contemporary layer to a historic canvas.
