I just ❤️designing Kitchens... Most of my clients are families seeking the best for their homes. Many want new kitchens. Why hire me to design one, when they could get a generic layout from a store? Because I am an interior designer, not a sales person. Not that I am against the sales people, their job is to sell and make the employer profit and they are doing their job perfectly, there is nothing wrong with that. But at the end of the day a designer's focus is the happiness and satisfaction of her clients. As a designer I dont have to focus on sales, worry about my monthly sales targets or the slow running expensive products/modules that are laying in the warehouse for months. I am also not tied with a basic computer software, the store’s standard layouts and catalog items, and end up with designs; beformulaic and less tailored to unique spaces. As a designer I also consider flow, sightlines, lighting, materials, and how the kitchen relates to the whole home as I am designing the rest of the spaces as well. This also creates a win–win when clients want consistent, well-matched design throughout all spaces.
When you need a straightforward, budget focused, time-limited projects, using standard layouts and products, get help from a kitchen store. If you want bespoke layouts, complex renovations, aesthetic cohesion, and full project coordination, choose an interior designer. Thats it!
