The Light Group AS History

Lyskomponenter AS was established in 1991, as a family business by Yngvar Rønning and his parents.

They filled a need that the electrical industry had been waiting for a long time; systematized distribution of spare parts for luminaires. Over the years they developed into a full supplier of lighting. Lyskomponenter had a good start and are still running a profitable and growing business. UP TO DATE

Through our nearly 25 years of experience in the professional luminaire market we have acquired ourselves with business connections in both distribution and production. Our products are developed with focus on the customer's needs in line with the latest LED technology. We continuously strive staying ahead in the LED development. This is why some of our product housings are produced in the Far East, while the LED chips get mounted in factories located in Europe. This ensures a short delivery, always updated LED technology, at competitive prices.

Frydenbø Car Center has received a modern and functional lighting installation tailored for vehicle sales, customer areas, and workshop operations. Our subsidiary Lyskomponenter in Norway has detailed and engineered this project in collaboration with OneCo, with Bico AS the contractor, combining high lighting quality,
energy-efficient solutions, and excellent working conditions throughout the entire building.

Winner of the Property Award at the 2026 Real Estate Conference,
and we're proud to have been part of it.
K14 in the heart of Kristiansand ("Kvadraturen") is more than an
office building. It's an entire city quarter, combining offices, retail, a bakery, a rooftop terrace, a parking garage and the new restaurant Yips.

Together with our customer Bravida, our Norwegian sales company Lyskomponenter delivered luminaires, drivers and lighting control from SLC across the whole quarter, from micro-prismatic LED panels in the offices to a handcrafted bar with integrated LED strips at Yips, and SLC FARO bollards on the rooftop terrace.
