I was stuck on this painting. How should I proceed?
So I took a picture of it that I uploaded to Photoshop (on the little screen). Now I could experiment to my hearts content and it worked.

Progressing very slowly with my little wall cupboard.
Happy with the inside, light ultramarine with a touch of violet and edges in turquoise green with small white flowers.
I´m going for pastel colors on the outside too

Homemade paint with color pigments and linseed oil base.
In a thrift shop I found this little wooden cupboard. Ugly woodwork, crooked and chipped, but lovely rounded features. I couldn´t make the cupboard worse than it already was 😄.
To my astonishment the paint I mixed was fantastic to work with and the colors so balanced!
In my mind I am going to paint it inside and out and decorate it with rosemaling.
The cupboard is for wall hanging and could house a rock collection, jewels, make-up, miniature glasses and spoons, and a lot more 😄

I recently moved from Tananger in Rogaland to Rygge (Moss in Østfold Norway) and made more friends. We are reshaping an abandoned industrial building into a creative hub, called LKV4 Kunstverksted. There is a lot of work removing old air conditioning and office furniture!

INVITASJON TIL TEMAMØTE OM DEN ARKEOLOGISKE UTGRAVINGEN PÅ DILLING

Lars Erik Gjerpe som var leder for den arkeologiske utgravingen på Dilling
kommer til Rygge Museum torsdag 25. september kl. 19.00.

Prosjektet er ferdigstilt og vi får høre om utgravingsarbeidet og om funn. Dette
er også gjort tilgjengelig i hans bok «Den komplekse jernalderbosetningen på
Dilling: Hus – gård – grend – landsby?» som utkom høsten 2024.

Nå får vi altså mulighet til å høre leder for utgravingen orientere om hele
prosjektet.

Sometimes the old masters have a better design!
Because of limited space I was looking for a sturdy piece of furniture that could double as table, drawers, shelf and office.
I searched numerous shops, real and online. But today everything is lightweight, serves one purpose and comes flatpacked. It became obvious that my wishes were custom-make, I couldn´t afford that.
On a whim I ventured in to this antique shop and, lo and behold, what did I see?
A “skatoll”, it´s Norwegian term and I don´t know the english word. The skatoll was a “skillfully-renovated” old piece, at least 100 years old and it served all my requirements!
I added a bit of my own touch to the blues and reds, especially inside, et voila´!
