Our Story
The Artist Thukten Lama grew up in the sacred valley of Dolpo in Nepal. His art follows a tradition, which has been transmitted over centuries from generation to generation. Even though Dolpo might be one the poorest regions in the world economically, it is abundantly rich in culture, art and Buddhism. He has developed a unique style, depicting local myth and the rhythms of daily life in Dolpo and the greater Himalaya and Tibetan Plateau. With the purchase of a table, you support the education of young people in this art form and keeping the spirit of Dolpo alive. These meditation tables were designed and hand-painted by Thukten Gyatso from Dolpo. They are made and are shipped from Nepal to all over the world.
