Would you believe these earrings used to be discarded plastic packaging? And every part of its making had skilled artisans mold, cut, craft and refine the recycled waste into wearable art.

Plastic never truly disappears, which means every single piece of plastic ever made still exists today in some form. It is a design flaw. We want to address this modern environmental challenge by making circular ♻️ choices more accessible for everyday life choices.

A button does so much more than hold things together. It is the key to open and close a portal, and with our newest line of bracelets, we are opening a portal to a more mindful world 🌏❤️♻️

Each button is meticulously molded from discarded plastics, and then bound by Panchadhatu: a sacred five-metal alloy that holds deep spiritual value in various Nepali cultures.

This is the very heartbeat of RE-UP STUDIO: taking inspiration from ancient traditions and philosophies to find creative solutions to modern missions ♾️

In the wake of the recent glacial floods in Nepal, families have had their lives completely upended. While emergency relief efforts are underway, we want to help bring a little comfort and joy to the children affected by this disaster.

We are collecting toys, books, art supplies and interactive games to offer them a positive distraction during this incredibly difficult time. If you have new or gently used items to share, we would be deeply grateful for your contribution.

📍 Drop-off Location: RE-UP STUDIO Office, Naxal behind Standard Chartered Bank
⏰ Drop-off Times: 10 AM – 3PM
🗓️ Deadline: Wednesday 2nd Sept. 2026

A dedicated team led by Samaya Khadka and Manu Karki’s Eco Sathi Nepal-ZeroWasteStore will be heading to Rasuwa this week to deliver these items directly to the children.

Growing up as a Newari Buddhist in Kathmandu, I was shaped by the sacred art surrounding me - paubhas, thangkas, monastery decorations, intricate wood and metal craftsmanship - everything inspired me. I learned early that our culture is rich, and that our hands could create things meant to last generations.

The ‘saṃsāra’ collection is that philosophy meeting modern reality. Single-use plastic waste is cleansed, transformed, and given new life by Nepali artisans using centuries-old ‘slow techniques’. Each piece is a personal reflection on my roots and the waste crisis we’re facing.

It’s not just rescued plastic - it’s a symbol for conscious living, a talisman of transformation to remind you that even the most forgotten pieces can begin again.

🚨 MODELS WANTED! OPEN CALL 🚨

RE-UP STUDIO is casting for an upcoming jewelry campaign, and we are looking for real faces of Kathmandu.

We are a brand built on inclusivity and the future and that means throwing out any industry standards for modeling. We are casting individuals ages 20 to 50. Female, male, non-binary, trans, adivasi, disabled - ALL are welcome and highly encouraged to apply.

The ONLY Requirements:
Must have your ears pierced (ear lobe piercing is strictly required for this shoot)
Must be based in Kathmandu.
Must be flexible with time

No modeling experience is necessary. We are looking for authentic energy and individuals who align with our vision.
