Last weekend I was lucky enough to visit my longtime friend at her Pop-up shop. Purchased a few treats… the stars I added my own touch and these are going off to the UK. The short story being our friendship… four wāhine met at the school gate each Friday, with 13 kids between them they decided where they would go for a wine. We still do this but not at school and without the kids who have all flown the nest. These wāhine have got me through some of the toughest times. Kia pai tō rā whakatā x

Pō mārie e hoa mā… it’s been a minute and the last few weeks have been tough on many. So easy to get bogged down in stuff that just isn’t sustainable. So back to the craft we go… this a is candle thing made using resincrete.

Mōrena e hoa mā… I’ve been sitting in this post, wanting to do the meaning justice. The older we get the more challenging it is to make new women friends. I’m super lucky to have met through mahi. She has amazing earring style. I gave her a pair of my Matariki earrings and she gave me this beautiful woven pair. I’m hoping this is now ‘our thing’ 🤩😂

So phase two of the gem art birthday present happened yesterday and yes those are glasses on the workbench… for the first time in my life I put on some +1s… and although it made seeing those super tiny gem things easier they will not become a permanent fixture on my face… yet!

It’s been a minute … gave me this little beauty and this was the weekend to start it. So, instead of going into the ‘I’ll do it later’ craft box it was opened… watch this space. Could be a great sports wine cup - just saying.
