A little behind the scenes of a lampshade coming to life 🤎

From ironing and backing the fabric, to obsessively making sure every gingham line is sitting just so 🥴 cutting, attaching the rings and all those fiddly little tucks…

There’s a surprising amount that goes into one lampshade.

And this one was made right here at Little Burrow HQ, otherwise known as our dining table… with the crockpot bubbling away behind me and real life happening around the edges 😅

This one is a commission for a beautiful character Bungalow that will be coming onto the market for sale shortly… and I’m absolutely thrilled to say I have the WHOLE HOUSE to make shades for. 🥹🤎😅

It’s been a minute between lampshades around here!

Life has been doing that thing where it throws approximately 47 jobs at you at once, so the poor little lampshade side quest has been somewhat neglected 🥴

But… we’re back! ✂️🤎

I’ve been topping up the lampshade stocks ahead of some upcoming springtime adventures, including our display at Saddlewood Garden for the Hurunui Garden Festival and a little Out of the Bleu Amberley pop up at the Geraldine Summer Fete

And these two have just come off the bench tonight 🥹

I’m obsessed with both. Which is slightly problematic because I’m now wondering if I can somehow justify keeping them both for my own house 😂

Anyway… consider this your official sign that Little Burrow Creative has emerged from its creative hibernation. 🤩

A good friend of mine came to me with a vision for a bespoke ceiling shade for her baby boys nursery… I think it’s safe to say we nailed it?! 🥹

When the talented creates beautiful artwork and turns it into fabric, which you see lining the shade.
Completing the look is this delicious wool check fabric 😍
