Introducing_ Project Haslett
A home designed to feel grounded, calm, and quietly confident. Every decision in this project was about restraint and balance rather than excess.
The material palette leans heavily into natural timbers, layered in different applications to create depth without overpowering the spaces. From the vertical batten detailing through to the softer, rounded timber forms in the kitchen and bespoke joinery, there is a consistent rhythm carried throughout the home.
Colour was used intentionally and with discipline. Deep, inky blues wrap transitional spaces like the hallway, creating contrast and a sense of movement, while the warmer, clay-based tones in the bedrooms bring softness and warmth where it matters most. These moments are not accidental. They guide how the home is experienced from one space to the next.
Lighting was approached as both functional and sculptural. The paper lantern pendants introduce a softness overhead, diffusing light in a way that complements the natural materials and avoids anything feeling too sharp or over designed.
A strong emphasis on craftsmanship, seen in the stairwell detailing, the integration of timber battens, and the way junctions have been resolved. Nothing feels applied or decorative for the sake of it. Everything has a purpose.
The result_ a home that feels cohesive, tactile, and considered. Modern, but not cold. Warm, but not heavy. A careful balance that allows the architecture and materials to speak for themselves.
Project Haslett is a reflection of our approach at Collab Interiors.
