Usually, we’d be talking about sleep science, natural fibres, or what makes the perfect pillow.
But this time feels different 🤍 We wanted to put the ‘business’ aside for a moment and acknowledge the women who have sacrificed more sleep than anyone else.
The Mums who mastered the art of sleeping with one ear open. The ones surviving on interrupted nights and early mornings. The ones who somehow still give everything to everyone else.
This one is for you.
The house is still, the moon is high,
A weary Legend lets out a sigh.
She’s conquered laundry, scraped the knees,
And negotiated "no more broccoli, please."
She fluffs the pillow, seeks the dent,
Her "Mum-battery" is fully spent.
But even as she starts to doze,
She’s dreaming of those tiny toes.
A pillow isn’t just for heads,
In all those busy, messy beds;
It’s where she hides the secret chocolate,
Far away from the "toddler rocket."So here’s to Mums, the Queens of Rest,
Even when their sleep’s a mess.
May your deserved shut-eye be deep,
You are the true Legends of Sleep.
A beautiful little piece that perfectly captures the quiet chaos, love, exhaustion and magic of motherhood.
So here’s to the Mums - the true Legends of Sleep, even when their own sleep is a mess 🤍
Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Do Not Disturb.
