Hi friends! Oops, I forgot to post August! It started off pretty cool and warmed up towards the end. I’m slightly disappointed I didn’t get to use my cool temperature fabrics, but also, not sad about it 😊

Bring on Summer ☀️

Hi friends! Never been happier to see a frosty morning! 😂❄️

The first couple of weeks of August are usually the coldest of the year here in New Zealand, so this was my best chance to finally dip into the coolest colours of my Temperature Quilt.

And… we did it! 🎉

By “we”, I mean me, the frosty weather, and my fellow Kiwi Temperature Quilt makers who have been patiently waiting for their beautiful cool colours to make an appearance.

Suddenly you’re cheering for the coldest day of the year! 💙

Hi friends, a few more pics of my colour study quilt using fabrics gifted to me by Missouri Star Quilt Company

I especially love how one of my woven labels perfectly matches this colour away (swipe to see)

Fabrics are Fabric Market by Robert Kaufman Fabrics (comment ‘Fabric Market’ for a direct link to browse the full range) 🌸

Pantograph by Barbie Mills Modern Digital Pantographs which my long arm quilter declared “beautiful to work with” 🎉

Handmade label by Quiltwerke with Steffi Troy - I will never need to guess the quilt batting I used in this quilt, because all quilt care information, including batting, is on the back of the label ❤️

Hi friends! May update. I wrote the date on this and immediately thought- “Is it 2026?” Anyone else not really fussed about what year it is? 😆

Pattern: Koru Geese Block by me!

Check out and who are making fabulous progress on their Temperature Quilts in the same pattern ❤️
