Skatelightnz Hand crafted, wall hung skateboard light fittings made in New Zealand

Father and son team, Matt & Max Newman, created SkateLight after seeing images on the internet of light fittings made from skateboard decks but struggled to find anywhere to buy them in New Zealand. SkateLight’s current range are new Dook skateboard decks with lamp holders fitted (by Matt who is a NZ qualified electrician) and wired to create an awesome light fitting that would look great in any k

ids bedroom, games room, workshop, garage or man/woman cave. SkateLight was also created as a good opportunity for Max (14) to learn about starting a new business and all that’s involved with making a product to take to market.
