We installed a custom-cut mirror, gave an existing door a new lease on life through careful renovation and refitting, and replaced a shattered window to make the space safe and secure again, to name just a few of the week’s projects.

When glazing putty dries out, cracks or pulls away from the frame, it can leave the glass loose and the window more exposed to leaks, draughts and further damage.

Removing old putty properly is often the first step to fixing the problem. It gives the frame a chance to be cleaned, checked and prepared so the new glazing can seal correctly and last longer.

While small DIY jobs may be manageable, damaged glass, rotten frames, hard to reach windows or urgent repairs are best handled by a professional glazier.
