I know my job is finishing up, but my interest in design and build is still very much there, of course!

I had to share how cute this little office is. It’s a super tiny space in Pukekohe Plaza for Forsyth Barr. They only have six permanent staff, but it’s going to be a great high-end finish, no doubt. The Zoosh team never disappoints on delivery!

As much as I’m sad to see Zoosh closing, I’m really proud of what we’ve achieved over the last two years.

In the next couple of weeks, I’ll be saying goodbye to Zoosh Studio.

Zoosh is closing for good.

It’s been a meaningful and challenging chapter. We’ve navigated some stormy periods together and delivered work I’m genuinely proud of.

Like many studios in the current climate, we’ve felt the impact of a sluggish economy and a highly competitive commercial market. The last five years have been a real rollercoaster — restructures, redundancies, rebuilding, and adapting along the way.

I’ve been part of that journey at every level — from experiencing redundancy myself, to supporting a small team through change, to continuing to lead design delivery through uncertainty. It’s been a period that has tested resilience, adaptability, and perspective.

What stands out most is how quickly the business landscape is shifting. Even long-standing studios are having to evolve rapidly, and stability feels more fragile than it used to.

For me, I’m now looking ahead to my next chapter and the kind of work I want to keep doing — leading design across commercial interiors, shaping ideas from concept through to delivery, and working closely with teams and clients to bring projects to life.

Grateful for everything Zoosh has been, and for the people I’ve worked alongside through it all.
