Even tho I used a beautiful and sparkly yarn, I am tossing the idea of adding some embroidered details to the wings.

Straight from México (well... in spirit 😄), these cactus Amigos thought they were catching a flight home. They showed up with passports, big dreams, and zero understanding of crochet destiny. 🌵✈️🇲🇽

Plot twist: they're staying with me.

Now they will get to live their best lives, spreading fiesta vibes, keeping each other company, and looking adorable on my shelf.

I absolutely loved making these little characters! Such a fun and easy pattern

A few weeks ago I got a message from a Mumma asking if i could make Astrid from HTTYD for her kiddo is he is a fan, and if I am honest, I had to ask Mr Google as I wasnt sure how she looked like (Astrid, of course 😂🫣!) but luckily I found a great pattern from and I loved how she turned out.

Amigurumay 2026 | Day 29 - Throwback

This was my first post, in 2018, when I decided to do crochet "professionally", after being at my new home = New Zealand for a few months. And while i did stay with the name Aroha Crochet (until a few months ago) this didn't end up being my logo.
And yes, that post had 2 likes!! 2 LIKES!

Side note ..... I am still trying to do this professionally, but not there yet. 😏🫡

Amigurumay 2026 | Day 28 - Mistake or masterpiece?

This bunny might not be a masterpiece but wasn't a total mistake either.

I started with the bottom white, very confident that i had more of the same shade in my stash, just to realise that it wasn't white but beige (perks of crocheting at night....) and then of course I also ran out of the beige, so finished up with brown and called her my Mocka Bunny! 🤍🤎🩷

I love how she turned out, but definitely a mistake not checking my supplies before starting a project!!

Since my kids love to go to the library (even tho they have an insane amount of books) I always take this opportunity to get my self some books for inspiration or to make a special project out of them.

And this week is not the exception, I chose these 3 books and I cant decide what to make!
