This is what my table looked like this morning…

Paint samples waiting to dry, napkins I’ve been sorting through, brushes, colour ideas, fibre tissue and a few projects all competing for space.

Most days definitely aren’t perfectly organised around here, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Creating colours, choosing new designs and helping customers bring their projects to life, is hands down, one of my favourite parts of what I do.

You don’t need to be an expert to transform a piece you love. A little paint, a little creativity, and suddenly that forgotten furniture has a whole new life.
This was created with Newton‘s Shadowed grey Chalk Finish Paint painted straight over the old surface. Then our redesign Fibre Tissue in Black Damask was simply glued on with our varnish which doubles as a glue and sealer. I painted the handle gold metallic for the final shot.
It’s smoke and mirrors I can teach you how super easily.

This piece wasn’t rushed.
It was created slowly — placing, stepping back, moving things, letting it all find its place.

An old bowling pin, our decorative napkins, glue sealer and varnish… and so much enjoyment in the process 🌸
This is exactly what I love teaching — trusting your eye and letting the piece unfold.
