My client looked at a tired, worn-out brown chair and saw this: rich olive velvet, chrome polished frame and pure luxury.

That’s the thing about great upholstery.
Sometimes it’s less about the chair itself and more about being able to see what it could become.

Oh, and the chair turned out beautifully too. The client was thrilled 😄

Every piece gets the same care, whether it’s a full-size sofa or something a little more… compact.
The invoice, however, was full-sized 😎

Never trust your eyes… in the showroom.
The lighting is different, the walls are different, the whole mood changes.

I always recommend taking samples home, the fabric needs to be in your space to really see how it behaves.

For this project, we started with wallpaper (yes, we do that too 🙂), and then moved on to fabric selection.

The goal was for the curtains to become an extension of the walls.

A few samples, tested on site, and Caspian Silver from was an instant match.

The result speaks for itself 😎

I do sofas. Honestly.

A client once told me, very politely, of course, that my profile is suspiciously short on sofas.

She had a point.

The reason isn't some big mystery: sofas are massive, my workshop is definitely not a showroom, and by the time I’m done with one, my main priority is getting it out the door to reclaim the space, not staging a perfect photo shoot.

But here we are. This huge and heavy sofa is finished, delivered, and photographed. Evidence provided 😎

This one was a real challenge. The staircase was so narrow (you know those cozy houses in Parnell), and the sofa was so heavy that any "bad decisions" during the climb would have been very expensive. So, I took it apart, brought it in section by section, and reassembled it right there in the room where it belongs.

The final photo looks calm and civilized, but trust me, there was plenty of drama getting it to that point 🙈

So yes, I do sofas. I just don’t always manage to catch them looking this composed before they head off back home.

You probably have one of these somewhere.

An old chair that doesn’t quite fit your home anymore, but somehow still doesn’t feel disposable.

That’s usually why people restore them.
Not because it’s cheaper than buying new, in fact, it usually isn’t. But because new wouldn’t be this one.

New wouldn’t have the same timber, the same weight, the same history, or the same place in the family.

Restoration is for the pieces you’re not ready to lose ❤️‍🩹

I needed a bag. The material chose its own destiny. So we made a deal.

I’m an upholsterer and my materials are usually well-behaved and stay where I put them. But every now and then, you come across a fabric with a bit too much "main character energy" to be a sofa.

That was exactly the case with this Sunbrella. It clearly had no intention of sitting quietly in a room. So, instead of forcing it into furniture, I turned it into my daily carrys.

It's outdoor-grade, built to handle the weather and the wear, yet it carries the quiet sophistication of a custom piece. It’s strong, minimalist, and handles my chaotic pace without a second thought.

Sometimes, you just have to admit the material knows best.

I have just enough remaining yardage for a very limited run. If you need a bag that refuses to stay put, DM me to claim one.

The customer did everything they could to save this iconic Lounge Chair Wood from the landfill.

My mission was to hide every trace of the repair. Yes, not the standard approach, but it worked, and it looks beautiful.

Love it or hate it… which side are you on?
