I realized recently that I’ve never properly introduced myself here — and I thought it was about time.

The other day, someone asked if I do all the design work at Borges Design… and the answer is yes, I do.

I’m Luciana, the founder and interior architect behind Borges Design.

I founded Borges Design 13 years ago and bring well over a decade of experience in the design industry. A lifetime shaped by architecture and engineering from an early age. Design has always been part of how I see and experience the world.

Today, I work closely with my clients to design kitchens, bathrooms, and full-home renovations that are not only beautiful, but feels effortless to live in and thoughtfully tailored to how they use their space.

What I value most about what I do is guiding my clients through what can often feel like a complex and overwhelming process — bringing clarity, direction, and a sense of ease from concept through to completion.

Every project is personal to me, and I’m involved in every detail.

We were asked for a black & white kitchen. But, we were listening...

From our first visit we listened — to how mornings unfold, how three teenage daughters move through the space, and what the family truly needed: a dedicated breakfast zone, purposeful storage, and a kitchen that felt like them. Rather than impose a palette, we rooted the design in the home’s and client's energy and crafted a warm, timeless interior influenced by European detail and sustainable materials.
