THIS SUNDAY 🍓🍹 We'll be celebrating Mothers Day at the brewery with our good pals Go Flowers NZ joining us from 12-3pm with a stall of bespoke floral bouquets, Burgernaut Akl will have a special dessert PAVLOVA BOMB on the menu as well as the return of the CHEETO FRIED CHICKEN BURGER plus our bar gang have whipped up an ultra-delish Strawberry Daiquiri Alcoholic Slushie for the day, to accompany our 22 taps of beer and cider! 😍 Get the fam together and bring your beloved motherly figures in for beers, burgers and rad times! 🍻 OPEN Sun 12-7.30pm. Winter weddings don’t get enough credit.

Brittany and Connor’s 2023 wedding at Abel Estate is a reminder that colder months bring their own look entirely. The lake reflections, bare trees and late-afternoon light turn everything gold instead of green - softer, moodier, and honestly a bit more cinematic.

This shot works because it leans into the season instead of fighting it. No pretending it’s summer. Just the quiet warmth of winter light bouncing across the lake behind them. Different colour palette, different atmosphere, same romantic Abel Estate backdrop.

Today’s wedding for Cassandra & Jaden was an intimate affair. Instead of a separate head table & guest tables they opted for 3 dining tables for the bridal party & guests to share. Cassandra had a clear vision & wanted floral arrangements on the tables rather than floral runners. She also loves trailing Amaranthus (how amazing is that Amaranthus on the rotunda?) & Roses. Thanks to , & for some awesome flowers.

Totally pimped the mantelpiece today. Karolina & Mark opted to have their bouquets on the head table & to use the budget for the head table runners to style the mantelpiece instead. I’m in love with this idea!
