HSE Hot Oil: Your All‑Season Coat Essential 🍂☀️
Winter, Spring, Summer or Autumn — HSE Hot Oil earns its place in your grooming kit all year round. Here’s how this powerhouse product keeps coats healthy, glossy and conditioned no matter the season.
Why it works:
Grooming Hot Oil into the coat stimulates circulation, boosts sebum production and deeply nourishes both skin and hair. Expect healthier hair, richer colour and faster shedding.
How to use it:
• Deep Conditioning / After Clipping
100–150ml pony
150–200ml galloway
200–250ml hack
Mix with 5–6L warm water and sponge over from head to tail. Ideal for sensitive‑skinned horses or those reactive to clipper oils and sprays.
• General Conditioning
If the coat still looks dry or dull, follow up with 30–50ml in 5–6L warm water.
• Before / After / Instead of Washing
Dilute 125ml in 5–6L warm water and sponge on, let it dry, warm the horse up for about 5mins. As the coat warms, dirt lifts to the surface. Hose off when not shampooing.
After washing: 125–250ml for clipped coats, or just a capful for longer coats to lay the coat flat.
• Everyday Grooming Spray
Add a couple of capfuls to a spray bottle, top with water, shake lightly and apply all over. Our 1L Super Sprayer works beautifully with 50–100ml Hot Oil for most coats. Recently clipped? Add a little more.
• Rub Marks
Spray shoulders (or any problem area) before rugging to help prevent and soothe rubs.
• Mane & Tail Treatment
Use a 50:50 mix in a bucket and dunk the tail, or spray on. No rinsing needed.
• Showday Makeup ✨
Hot Oil melts into the skin through the hair to naturally highlight eyes, muzzle, knees and hocks. Use alone or blend with chalk for a deeper finish.
Hot or Not?
Warm water gives the best absorption, but it still works with cold water or on a cold coat — just slightly less intensely. Applying to a warm horse after work is a great alternative when hot water isn’t available.
No rinsing required unless stated.
