There are no words to describe this pain - just an angry ache and despair for what is happening to in our SWANA world.

Our people deserve so much more, our animals deserve so much more, our land deserves so much more. 💔

Each time an aggression occurs, it’s all the more important to show up for our people. It can feel frivolous at times like these - showing up is a form of transforming our grief into love. For the homelands because they do deserve that.

The 2026 Beit Jidu calendar is now available on our website - creating a space for the SWANA community and beyond where we can all coexist and celebrate each other 💚

Celebrating a range of religious, indigenous, cultural holidays & people.

With sayings from different dialects listed behind each month, it’s an opportunity to maintain our language and the beautiful translations they hold.

We’ve added a birthday each month from from person in every country in the MENA community ❤️ if you don’t know who they are, it’s the perfect opportunity to learn about and connect with a special presence that made their mark.

We want people to see themselves in this calendar and feel represented. We’re hoping to reframe the Eurocentric outlook on our daily practices & aim for this to a be small but impactful step 💚

10% of all proceeds go towards the people of Sudan via Sunduq Al-Sudan and the children of Palestine via The PCRF

Lost in the dreamy music of Lebanese singer Aida Chalhoub 💚

Chalhoub’s music from the late 70s & early 80s draw from Arabic/Levantine traditions, combining classical and contemporary influences. One of her songs — the original version of Law Fiyeh — was later popularised by another artist, underlining her lasting influence.

NOW AVAILABLE ❤️‍🔥 Beit Jidu Nari Matchbox

We wanted to pay homage to traditional matchboxes from the SWANA region - inspired by a beautiful design from a matchbox from Damascus and on the back, a reflection of a song that was ingrained in our childhood

On the back, a reflection of a song that was ingrained in our childhood - “Habibi Da” by Egyptian singer Hisham Abbas and Indian singer Jayashri.

The quote “Nari min gamalouh” translates to “there’s a fire within me from your beauty” ❤️🔥

❤️‍🔥 A mix of Arabic and Hindi, the song has stuck with us as a beautiful example of cultural collaboration.

We hope this lights up your homes with a piece of our culture 💚🕯️

10% will go towards The Lebanese Red Cross and Sunduq Al Sudan.
