We frequently get asked if our ceramics are dishwasher and microwave safe. The answer is yes! But there’s a bit more nuance to it especially when it comes to washing.

Over time, some ceramics can develop a soft haze or lose a bit of their original shine. It’s usually a mix of strong detergents, hard water, heat, and the general wear of being in a dishwasher again and again.

Some days, I put my mugs in the dishwasher. Other days, I don’t! They still function and they’re still pretty.

Just remember they’re made for real life.
So really… you do you! Use them how it works for your day-to-day, and just enjoy them in the way that feels easiest for you 😁

We’re so excited to announce that our ceramics are going to be available on our online store by noon tomorrow!

Excited enough to write a haiku about. One because I love a silly excuse to write one and two, it’s just a bit more interesting than a plain ol’ text kind of drop. I may not be a poet but this is how I’m letting you know it. (With no sliver of shame!)

Hope you guys drop by to see the website tomorrow! I shall work overtime to make it look pretty.

This is the process behind how we managed to make consistent handles and stamps for our pottery!

We used to hand-pull our handles but, they took us a lot of time and, when we found our style, we wanted to replicate it properly. Thankfully James, in his wonderful James fashion, brought home a 3D printer one day and we found soooo much utility in it.
One being, we could print out specific dyes on the extruder.

Once the long spaghetti strips of clay are extruded, we drape them over the forms we like and wait for them to harden enough to stick them onto our thrown pieces.

This had added a little more time for us to put in more attention to detail when throwing or trimming while not taking away too much of the human process.

Anyway, that’s todays’s rant.
