We love a good before and after — and this one’s pretty hard to beat.

Sitting exposed to the extremes of the Wānaka climate, this charred timber cladding had taken the full force of the elements, with significant weathering across the exterior.

Previously finished in another coating system, CUTEK® worked closely with the owner to understand what the timber needed in such a demanding environment. The cladding was prepared and recoated with CUTEK® in Double Strength Punga Colourtone, restoring a rich, consistent tone while providing ongoing protection and moisture management for the timber.

Vertical pine cladding from Genia, finished in CUTEK® Burnt Ash Colourtone.

We’re coming into our busy season here at CUTEK®, as the warmer weather gives us better conditions for applying our oils.

If your deck is looking a little worse for wear after winter, now’s a good time to get the prep underway, cleaning off mould, dirt and anything else that’s built up over the wetter months.

Then, as the spring weather improves and we get some good warm, dry days, your timber is ready to coat.

CUTEK® Mould Cleaner is an easy way to tackle mould on timber, killing and removing it while lightly brightening the surface at the same time.
