Another NZ Core 8mm SPC installation completed 👌

This one was installed in a sleepout, giving the space a clean, modern finish while providing a tough, low-maintenance floor that’s built to handle everyday use.

SPC is a great option for spaces like this — easy to keep clean, comfortable underfoot and durable enough to keep looking good for years to come.

✨ Kitchen flooring transformation ✨

Another great result using Belgotex Lagos 909M sheet vinyl in this kitchen.

Rather than putting the customer through the time, mess and cost of removing the existing ceramic tiles, we took a different approach.

🔹 Mechanically ground the existing tiles to remove the highs and create a suitable level surface
🔹 Applied 2 coats of Ardex Feather Finish to smooth and prepare the floor
🔹 Sanded everything back to achieve a smooth, consistent finish
🔹 Fully bonded the vinyl using Hardest adhesive for a secure, long-lasting installation

A good example of how the right preparation can save the customer unnecessary demolition while still achieving a quality finished floor. 👌

🐶 Puppy vs New Carpet! 😂

A small repair job back on a recent installation after this little Staffy puppy decided to enjoy his new carpet in his own special way! 😆🐾

Luckily, we always recommend keeping your spare carpet offcuts — you never know when they might come in handy. With the right piece and a bit of careful repair work, damaged carpet can often be brought back looking like new. 👌

Always keep those offcuts… you’ll be surprised what can be repaired! 🔨✂️

Another happy customer (and one very cheeky pup)! 🐶😂

🛠️ Small carpet repair in Sandy Bay

A quick little repair to get this carpet looking good again.

Always keep some spare carpet after an installation — you never know when it might come in handy for repairs like this one.

A small job, but a much better result than having to replace the whole area. 👌

A full flooring makeover with 8mm NZCore SPC installed through the living areas.

A fair bit of preparation went into this one, with the high spots ground down and all low areas filled to get the floor ready for the SPC.

The 3 bedrooms were finished with Mount Hobson Solution Dyed Nylon carpet in Rainstorm, giving the bedrooms a soft, comfortable finish.

Another job finished off properly from the floor prep right through to the final installation. 👌

✨ Another happy customer! ✨

A great transformation completed with NZ Core 8mm SPC flooring installed throughout the lounge, kitchen and hallway.

This job was all about getting the preparation right before the new floor went down. We:
✔️ Removed the existing sticky tiles.
✔️ Completed a full floor grind to remove all the old adhesive residue.
✔️ Applied Ardex K65 where needed to repair and level the subfloor.
✔️ Installed the new NZ Core 8mm SPC flooring, leaving the home with a clean, modern finish that’s built to handle everyday life.

At Island Flooring Waiheke, we believe the quality of a floor starts with the preparation. Taking the time to do it properly means a better finish and a floor that will perform for years to come.
