Gavyn who began his career in the pottery industry when he joined Temuka Pottery/New Zealand Insulators Limited in 1972 as their Industrial Engineer managing methods and systems developments. From 1975/77 he project managed their expansion into the high volume operation it continued to be until recent times. From 1977/80 he was Production Manager for both the Insulator and Pottery factories.
