It’s a long weekend here tomorrow and to commemorate ANZAC Day we will be closed. I’ve picked out a special project to work on - the fabulous Ivy Cardigan by Petiteknit made with Lana Grossa Cool Wool Baby and Rowan Kidsilk Haze. What are you making this weekend? Tomorrow for me will be about reflection and Sunday and Monday will be loving how lucky we are to live here in New Zealand and to celebrate by indulging my favourite hobby of knitting!

Maybe it’s an age thing; maybe it’s because there always seems to be so much happening; maybe it’s because it’s my favourite time of year and I am loving being outside as much as I possibly can - savouring the cooler air, the fantastic colour changes and probably most special to me - the stillness and sense of calm that autumn brings. I just needed that perfect little project. This scarf is it! Perfect in its simplicity in style and shape - it was everything I was looking for in my project. I just love it and plan to replicate it in several different colours. I’ve put together a little kit to share with you - $29 for your yarn and instructions. I just realised that Easter is only a couple of weeks away - this could be the best project to gift or complete over a long weekend.

I love cute stuff and I love Easter decorations! Today’s post is a combination of both - the gorgeous Stone Knits sock together with some fun little stitch markers. We have kits available to help you gift these goodies or to make and keep yourself. Purchase the pattern and our yarn kits include three balls of Himalaya Sock Wool; the cute stitch markers and a Cambridge Crafts Project Bag. Each kit has enough yarn to make two pairs of socks. The kits are $31.00. We also have the fabulous specialty sock needles and dpn sets from Chiaogoo if you need them and sock blockers in a variety of sizes from KnitPro to get that beautiful perfect finish.
