A cloud of cherry blossom 🌸
I took this photo last spring. I drove past a magnificent flowering cherry tree, grabbed my camera and stood under its branches looking up into pink fluffy clouds! I kind of forgot I’d taken it, but I kind of love it 🥰
There is a tradition in Japan - ‘Hanami’, that celebrates the fleeting beauty of cherry blossoms. It is commonly known as “flower viewing” and is simply the ancient practice of gazing upon the flowers. In times gone by farmers would pray, make offerings and prepare a feast under the trees, in the hope this would result in an abundant harvest.

Hello, I’m still here! 👋😊🌸
Life has been busy of late so I have been very neglectful of Wallflower! Some lovely friends gave me some bright and sunny Dahlias from their gardens and I had to dust off the old camera again…Happiness in a vase!

Hydrangea appreciation! I picked up a couple of bunches at the market on Saturday morning and they spark much joy in me 😍They are fading from blue to green, just at the point where the should dry off beautifully 💚💙

This photo was taken a few years ago, when Wallflower was in its infancy and I was becoming completely obsessed with my Hydrangeas! Having such a lush green garden was such a treat. We have since moved from that home, and after a year away I have come to realise that Wallflower can’t really exist without that garden. While said garden was beyond my control, i miss looking out the window at all that green lushness! I now have a patch of deadish grass with no trees or flowers in sight and I’m just not feeling it. I will keep my social media active, as things may change and I still love taking photos of flowers and sharing them, but the website will be shut down at the end of next month. Thanks EVER SO MUCH for all the support over the years. It has meant more to me than you know 🤗 I’ll keep appreciating the beauty of nature in the mean time, and figure out what next x xn

The original Wallflower Calendar is all sold out! I am taking pre-orders for another order if you would still like one, but just in the knick of time, the Wallflower Mini calendar arrived! Smaller but perfectly formed, she is A4 sized (210mmx297mm), bound at the top and full of vibrant florals to get you through the year. Public holidays are included to keep you organised and just to make sure you don’t miss them, they’ve actually been printed twice…lol 🤣

Nigella, poppies & sweet peas….just a delightfully delightful trio in my opinion! Fresh, delicate, and slightly wild, the perfect hand-picked garden bouquet. These beauties came from my friend Sandra’s Cambridge garden, hence the name!

This print is available online now, in sizes A3, A2 & A1. All sizes are printed on 180gsm smooth matte paper with Ultrachrome archival inks.
