Which do you prefer, markets or online?
I get asked this a lot.

Honestly, both. But markets are the hardest thing I do.

They're hard to prepare for, especially when you're a part-time potter. It means holding stock back from online. So it's scary. They're fun, but also incredibly long, exhausting days.

Which is why the chats matter so much. Someone stopping to pick something up, ask a question, or just say hi... that's what makes the day. It doesn't have to end in a sale.

So if you see me at a market, stop and say hi. Genuinely.

Online update coming July.

Let me throw the question back to you - do you prefer shopping online or in person at markets?

Proud to have a stall at the very first public market at Te Pae.

Ōtautahi Made, Sunday 21 June.
FREE tickets for general entry are worth grabbing so the team can plan - that's pretty normal these days at big venues, and honestly it does make you feel a bit VIP.

Speaking of VIP...there's an upgrad VIP Hour 9–10am for early access before the doors open to everyone else. A chance to shop first before crowds and get first access to all the cool stuff.

General entry is 10–3pm, and there's also a Sensory Hour 3–4pm if a calmer environment is more your thing.

I've been getting the most wonderful feedback from my Australian customers lately.

My biggest anxiety was whether parcels would arrive safely. So far, every single one has arrived unscathed. (One might be about to be stolen by someone's 18-year-old son, but that's out of my hands.)

I'm thinking about reopening Australian shipping.

If you want me to... comment 🙋‍♀️ below.

She didn't tell me she was doing it.
She just kept coming back.

Annabelle has been quietly gifting her mum my ceramics over time, because she knew her mum would love them as much as she does.

She messaged me these photos & words and it has me thinking about my own mum and the little things that remind me of her.

A coastal jug. A couple of bud vases.
A wee still life, waiting on a shelf.

This is why I make things.

P.S. The coastal jug is now available online, link in bio and all that usual stuff.

The Coastal Landscape Jug Small, useful, beautiful... and apparently very giftable.(More on that last part soon.)

When Cynthia asked if I could make a garlic grater, I thought it was a gimmick.
I said yes anyway. Made a few prototypes. Tried it in my pyjamas (there's a reel somewhere of that)..ok fine. It's actually very good.

It's evolved a bit since then. Meet the 3-in-1 grater. Grates garlic, grates ginger, strips herbs, holds a spoon.

It's the thing I make the most, and now it ships to Australia too.
