Not the best pic but this large old artwork won at auction by our client got quite the glow up!
Unable to pry it away from its original glued on mat (yikes) we did our best by matting over top in this warm ochre combined with a lovely rich wood frame that also picked up those tones.

She’s all set for a new life!

This is a little original oil painting of Lyttelton that I painted, framed with a lovely oily blue mat board and natural boxy frame.

We are finishing up what is possible in our studio and will be open again from mid Jan 2023.

Next year will wind up to being a big one for Studio Home Framing. We look forward to sharing xo

We have nearly completed the framing of a goooorgeous body of work by Cath Grant Creative - Art Exhibition Opening!!

Confronted with unbelievable tragedy earlier this year with the loss of her beloved husband and father, Cath has found comfort and healing in a return to her painting practice.

Inspired by beautiful Banks Peninsula where she and her 4 children have joined her mother, Cath has painted a collection worthy of an exhibition!

AND this is….

While we had paused for public framing, T kindly continued to frame my own ( Studio Home ) work!
This is a selection that is part of the Art in a Barn exhibition at Flaxmere Gardens next week coinciding with the Hurunui Garden Festival 27-30 Oct.

All are completed using TruVue UV 70 glass which, alongside adding fantastic protection, it has incredible clarity.

We’re here because we love art, love working with our hands and love tailoring solutions as best as we can to fit YOUR needs. We see our job as providing you with options to fit your brief so that you can make informed decisions that will help you to purchase artwork with confidence AND get it on the wall to be enjoyed each day.

Run by husband and wife team; Tena “T” Dunn and Julia Atkinson-Dunn they bring diverse skills gathered in other industries together to create fresh, beautiful options to present art in the way that suits you best. As a master bricklayer of 28 years, T has trained with local framers to transfer his skills and attention to detail to this new trade. Julia offers clients a sounding board on style, colour and mounting options supported by her background in interior design and curator of the Studio Home online gallery and series of art exhibitions.
