I invite you to view my original designed laser cut bamboo lightshades. The designs incorporate natural curves as opposed to straight edges which provide amazing natural looking shadows. I have been designing and refining these lightshades since 2013, after completing a Bachelor of Design in Applied Visual Arts at C.P.I.T. While studying I learnt how to use Il

lustrator software which allows me to translate my designs into a digital file that can be read by a laser cutting machine. I then send my files through to Modeltech who then laser cut the shapes and then return to me to assemble. Bamboo is used as the main material because it has the flexibility required for these designs and the natural beauty and sustainability that I feel is important in today’s environment.
