I always try to do something a bit different in a powder room. Viola is one of my favourite stones and is the perfect hero in this room. We intentionally stopped the basin at skirting height, to give the illusion of it floating. Paired with beautifully textured Ambitec polished plaster walls, bushed brass tapware and the Articolo Studios wall sconce it’s quite possibly one of my favourite spaces.

And there’s a sneaky unit behind that mirror for storage too. Always tricky in a powder room.

Tucked behind these pockets doors is a dedicated study nook - a place to work from hone, for the kids to do homework or just a very handy place to chuck everything during that frenzied 10 minute tidy before anyone comes over. We all do it!! 😉 And when it’s not needed, the doors close and it quietly disappears back into the room!

I’ve been super quiet oh here lately as the days just seem to fly by in the countdown to Christmas. That’s right, scary thought but we’re already talking Christmas cut offs. I’m in denial!

I’ve had so many messages to please share some more of this beautiful kitchen, so thought about time I did. A few of my favourite shots from Jono Parker

This project has been a journey, so receiving a highly commended award for the kitchen at this year’s Home of the Year Architecture & Interiors awards feels incredibly special.

Behind every finished photograph are countless decisions, problem solving moments and an amazing team of people that care deeply about getting the details right. I’m so grateful to my wonderful clients for trusting me, and to my amazing joiners _oddform who brought this kitchen to life!

Awards are never the reason we do what we do, but having something you’ve poured so much of yourself into recognised alongside so many amazing designers is a really meaningful moment for me. As a team of one it’s often hard to remember to stop and take the time to acknowledge little moments like these! Thank you to you all x

Even more excited to share that the kitchen from this project has also been selected as a finalist in the Kitchen Category at this year’s HOME Interior Awards.

This kitchen has always been one of my favourite spaces within this project. And the amazing duo _oddform who helped bring it to life.

This morning started like most Saturday mornings do - standing on the sidelines watching my boys play sport, juggling the usual weekend chaos! It wasn’t until half time, when I checked my emails, that I discovered I’d been selected as a finalist in this year’s HOME Interior Awards.

As a small independent designer, moments like this feel incredibly special.

Behind all the beautiful photos are countless hours of planning, problem-solving, drawings and specifications. To have a project recognised amongst so much other outstanding work is something I’m genuinely grateful for.

It was a true collaboration with wonderful clients, beautiful architecture, talented builders, joiners and trades.

There is also a public vote if you follow the link in my bio.

Taking a moment to close out for 2025 and realised I never posted one of my favourite photos from this lovely little kitchen. A moment of calm. As much as I focus on keeping things aesthetically beautiful they still always need to be functional. A place for everything and everything in its place.

Another angle of my Hamilton Ave project. We designed this table to be exactly the same size as the kitchen island helping to elongate the space. Although it looks it, it’s actually not permanently fixed to anything. Handy to pull out for those odd occasions where you need that extra seat. We chose to waterfall the stone down that one side. The veining of the stone being the perfect backdrop to the warmth of the timber.

Hamilton Ave. A complete re-work for these lovely clients. For a small space it was not without its challenges and throughout it all they remained positive and smiling! Although we couldn’t remove the pole altogether (well not without the roof falling down 😂) we did manage to shift it to allow for better alignment. The tiles were lifted and a new floor put in its place. A restrained palette of white, soft greys and warm timber resulted in a space that now feels so much lighter, brighter and warmer.

A huge thanks to all involved in this project. It wouldn’t be possible without you all.
