Food precincts succeed when design, brand and operations are developed together — not in silos.

For me, the most rewarding part of precinct design is shaping the entire ecosystem -
▪️naming the destination
▪️building a clear brand narrative
▪️defining individual tenancy identities and
▪️designing spaces that work together harmoniously while driving commercial outcomes.

The real impact happens where creativity meets operational needs — optimised seating, intuitive customer flow from multiple entry points and food theatre that encourages dwell time and spend.

This project was about creating a true sense of place, grounded in the city and informed by both travellers and the local community.

When branding, spatial design and operations are aligned from day one, the value created is exponential — for customers, clients and landlords alike.

So the question is: are we still designing food precincts as collections of tenancies… or as destinations in their own right?

Redesign — we design, we brand, we deliver.

Loading… London Phase 2.0

Two years ago- to the day- I moved to London to take on a new role with SSP. I wanted to stretch myself by stepping into the corporate world bringing my core design knowledge and business principles to the table, meet new and like minded people and to bring energy to each day. I have been very fortunate to do that and acknowledge all the support that my colleagues and management have provided me.

I am super excited to announce that I am moving back to design consultancy and mentoring work and very pleased to say that Redesign Group London is now live!

A full team of creatives and support teams in the UK, New Zealand and India will work with me in creating F&B and retail design, branding and documentation for clients around the globe.
I see that this next chapter in my career and Redesign Group is all about momentum, creativity and connection. ✨

Whether we have collaborated in the past or have yet to work together, I do look forward to exploring future opportunities.

Huge achievements for the SSP group in the FAB awards. The Jamie Oliver restaurant was the regional winner for food and beverage restaurant of the year. Pleased for this recognition for the group and redesign

Hard Rock is rocking and open at the Kuala Lumpur airport! After 4 years of work and 1.5 years of development and construction the two sites went live this week. There are several features and unique design elements in the two sites however the major is the nod to the Petronas towers made of stacked Hard Rock acrylic lit guitars. Authentic memorabilia is placed throughout the restaurant and kiosk with the central masterpiece - red hot chilli peppers drum kit.

Congratulations to our client SSP APAC and HRC project team on the opening. It’s been a huge effort from all parties and we are all loving the end results. Special thanks to my design team for the meticulous detailing and for Simon and the team at marmalade for their attention to detail in the construction.

Something is brewing in Ashburton. Exciting new development that will add more vibrance to the township.

A local developer is looking to reshape Ashburton’s triangle. Robert Grice Properties has big plans for a major redevelopment along Victoria Street.

Monochromatic, simple and classic. We introduce a new concept under construction- MOD desserts. This higher end desserts restaurant is located next to The Green Room in Auckland so customers can enjoy both spaces for different cuisines.
With Movenpick being the choice of ice cream offer, Im sure there will be some decadent desserts to choose from

Working with brands for their international offices locations brings interest to our team. With the transition back to the office environment we are seeing an increase of work for refurbishment or companies moving to larger premises.

Having 25 years of experience in commercial office space planning ensures our clients receive well planned, efficient and creative work spaces.

The challenge especially for large call centres is providing the staff with sufficient space to work, access to separate areas for those private discussions and free flowing separate client face areas.
We used phone booths to provide the various groups easy access and doubles as screening to the separate work groups.
