We love the opportunity to work on truly unique projects—and this expansive car garage certainly ticks that box.

Constructed from off-form concrete and corten steel, and home to a collection of high-performance European cars, this is far from your average ‘shed’.

A bold, architectural statement set within the landscape—one of a kind in every sense.

Congratulations to the Bayleys Richmond team on the opening of their new office! We loved bringing this space to life, with design elements that quietly reference the surrounding landscape – including the variation in the cedar battens, inspired by the Richmond Ranges connecting Marlborough and Nelson.

A space that feels connected to place, creating a welcoming and professional environment for both the Bayleys team and their clients.

Accompanying the first two stages of this unique project, the guest house settles alongside the indoor pool house, garaging, and studio within a spectacular rural landscape.

Embedded into the contours of the site, the guest house is conceived as a quiet retreat — responding to land, light, and the wider ensemble as part of a carefully staged architectural journey.

Echoing the language of rural sheds, this family home transforms a familiar corrugated gable into a series of light‑filled, connected spaces wrapped in a restrained, low‑maintenance form.

Our new school hall and classroom project for Te Anau School is almost complete, with just the finishing touches remaining.

The design responds to the existing school buildings and weaves a cultural narrative linking the site in the mountains to the marae at the sea. Interior colours are inspired by the surrounding harakeke and kōwhai.

Designed for high performance, the building features a sports overlay floor, acoustic treatments and a warm roof—creating spaces that are both cosy and quiet. High-level windows flood the hall with natural light and enable effective cross ventilation.

This project is the result of many years of school fundraising, and we’re excited to see students, staff and the wider community enjoying their new space.

Delivered on time and under budget, thanks to a fantastic team: Southern Quantity Surveyors, Amalgamated Builders, Wintech Mechanical, Pedersen Read and Fire Safety Solutions.

We’re delighted to share that Tāwhaki Nui‑a‑Hema — a mass timber Maths and Horticulture Classroom Block at Motueka High School — has been shortlisted for the 2026 Regional Architecture Awards (Nelson/Marlborough).

Designed in collaboration with , the project was shaped with mana whenua guidance, weaving the legend of Tāwhaki into its cultural narrative.

The use of mass timber not only supports sustainability but enhances student wellbeing through a strong connection to natural materials and the surrounding environment.

The Ministry’s brief was to follow our ‘Waimea’ model, demonstrating its adaptability to different situations, enabling standard and specialist teaching spaces to be repeated linearly while supporting flexibility between classrooms.

We’re looking forward to showing the judges around next week!
