🍞 REAL SOURDOUGH. REAL FERMENTATION. REAL FOOD. 🌿

There’s a reason sourdough has been loved for generations. It’s not just about the delicious crust and that beautiful chewy crumb — it’s about the fermentation. ❤️

Traditional sourdough is made with just a few simple ingredients: flour, water, salt and a live sourdough starter.

The long fermentation process can help break down some of the compounds in flour and may make sourdough easier for some people to digest. It can also reduce phytic acid, which can improve the availability of certain minerals.

And unlike many supermarket breads labelled “sourdough”, real sourdough doesn’t need commercial yeast or a long list of additives.

At Clevedon Sourdough, we keep it simple — organic wholemeal spelt flour, water and a living culture, naturally fermented the old-fashioned way. 🌾

✨ Slow food. Simple ingredients. Proper sourdough.

Save this post for your next supermarket bread shop & share it with someone who loves sourdough! 🍞🤎
