It’s been a while since posting, however we are still here and have just celebrated 19 years of being in our current business. Our focus started around kayak fishing and over the years this has evolved to now incorporating art associated with the ocean along with the fishing.
We took advantage of a calm mid-week day, heading up the Coromandel Peninsula for an early morning fish. Once the sun rose above the ranges it was a stunning Winter’s day. Plenty of snapper caught, with the majority in the 40-45cm range which is the size we like to keep for a meal. They were all in prime condition with a good layer of omega 3 healthy fat on them. Softbaits were the lure of choice this day and caught all the fish this time, using a newly stocked product in our shop, the Berkley 4” Swimming Mullet. Durable, stayed on the jighead well and plenty of action to hook in the snapper, catching multiple fish on just one bait.
We are open most days over Winter (except for the odd day off fishing!), and always happy to give the best, honest advice as to what is working in our local area. Cheers Janet & Rob
