A country house with a country feel - light, airy and expansive, has been created here.
Soft natural shades of green in the cabinetry, light toned wood on the floors and raw linen drapes that have an organic textured slub, (almost like lambswool.) running through them.
The sun friendly, linen look sheer filters light but retains view.

Another October project.
What started out as a floral lounge suite has been transformed.
The combination of cream couches with a stunning fabric zebra print couch, warm toned walls, a caramel rug, glass coffee table and complimentary cushioning have created a room the home owners love to entertain in.

September and October have been busy months here at redx design.
To showcase the stunning leadlight windows in this beautiful room I created a palette using clear but warm based white walls in Resene Rice cake. Next I added fine piled floral velvet drapery in silver, charcoal and bronze tones on charcoal tracks. The box pleat heading is perfect for this style of window, because it achieves a tailored fullness that pushes tightly back off the window leaving an expansive view.
Next, I commissioned Kovacs furniture to create two luxuriously comfortable couches in a chenille finish velvet - olive in colour.
The cushioning re- introduces the drape fabric and two other complimentary shades - charcoal and bronze. The bronze is just slightly brighter than the shade in the drape to give the room a little pop of colour.
On the floor is a New Zealand wool rug in a softer gold tone and
a beaten bronze based coffee table finishes the look.
In the new year a grey textured loop carpet will complete the room.
