"Ohigan" is a Buddhist event observed in Japan, during the spring and autumn equinoxes. Ohigan in this spring is between 17-23 of March. Japanese people beleave that during equinox time, our thoughts connect more to our ancestors than other time of the year. Before Ohigan comes people clean their family graves, think and pray for them😇

Hi everyone😊
As I am going back to Japan to see my family and I will not be back to Gisborne until the end of school holidays, there will be NO SCHOOL HOLIDAY ORIGAMI WORKSHOP for the April School Holidays.

I will organise exciting and fun workshop for July School so Holidays🤩

☕️Evening Origami Workshop for Adults ☕️

Thank you so much to everyone who joined me for the workshop!
It was fantastic evening and I loved it✨️

Our Origami making started with flower(Iris/Lily), after having a little break everyone made 2 different types of envelopes by following the instruction sheets.

The flower was quite challenging to make but everyone did great job and all successfully finished their own🥰⚘️ You are all amazing!

Those envelopes can be made by any size of square. So if you have any leftover wrapping paper at home, or even a piece of paper which is too cute to throw away (I have heaps😁), you can try make them🧧 and please share your creations on the comments in this post if you make any of what you learnt at the workshop!

I hope everyone enjoyed the workshop as much as I did😄
I would love to organise the next workshop not too far in the future. So watch this space!

☕Origami Workshop for Adults☕

Who would like some "ME TIME" and have a little break during this busy season??
Discover the art of Origami while enjoying a chat, laughter, coffee, and refreshments!

This workshop will be for adults (high school students and over) , for all levels.

Time & Date: 6:30pm ~ 8pm Wednesday 14 January
Venue: Te Hapara School (31 Mill Road)
Fee: $20 per person (tea & coffee provided)

➡️I will prepare everything we will use for the Origami Workshop so you don't need to bring anything👍
➡️After each class, I will post photos and/or videos on Facebook and/or Instagram. So if you prefer not to be in any of those, please let me know.
