Popping these here a a reminder to myself to make time everyday to get outside for a walk and to actually enjoy the moment I’m in.

The past few weeks I’ve been making this a priority. Before I start my day I pop on my favourite oil of the moment and head out for a walk. I think it’s finally starting to sink in that, for me, this is a necessity.

What’s something you enjoy doing, just for you? Or what’s something you maybe need to start doing for you?

Can you spot Spud? 🐑🐶

For a while, I’ve let some of my good habits slide. Not because life is bad, just because I’ve been busy looking after everyone else and putting myself at the bottom of the list.

This past week I’ve started trying to work my way back to a few things that help me, simple things like warm water first thing, a bit of lymphatic drainage, oils, Bible reading, prayer, and an early morning walk.

The funny thing is, Spud has picked up on the routine faster than I have. As soon as Amelia’s door opens, he’s ready to go. No excuses. Full of excitement excitement for our morning walk.

Maybe animals understand something we sometimes forget—that the things that help us feel good aren’t selfish, they’re necessary.

I’m trying to work on not feeling guilty and telling my brain looking after myself doesn’t mean I’m neglecting everyone else. It just means I’m making sure I have something left to give.

I’d love to know some things you do to ‘look after’ yourself?

Did ya spot Spud?

Ever feel pulled in 300 directions? Everyone in the household wants something from you and you can barely catch a breath for yourself?
That’s how it was in our house this morning, complete chaos, but then one of the kids pointed out a wood pigeon in the tree.
Taking a tiny moment to step outside and have a closer look felt so good.
It gave me a much needed reminder, that sometimes you have to stop and smell the roses.

Current works in progress… this is probably the least amount of projects I’ve ever had on the go at once and two of them...

Current works in progress… this is probably the least amount of projects I’ve ever had on the go at once and two of them have been in progress for at least 2 years!!!🤦‍♀️
How slack is that?
Might have to remedy that I think.

I used to think sourdough had to be complicated, strict, and timed perfectly.

Now I make it in a very simple, real-life way — even on busy days when I’m out all day.

I finally wrote the whole process down step-by-step on my blog, so I don’t have to keep explaining it each time.

If you’ve ever found sourdough confusing or overwhelming, this might help simplify it.
