I've always been fascinated with the different types of succulents and their species. I've always loved the look of succulents, but didn't know if they were really me (I always associated them with the desert, surrounded by terracotta and tumbleweeds). Lately, I've been seeing them everywhere and it's made me reconsider, but the process of picking out the right plants and knowing what to do with t

hem (besides accidentally killing them) was intimidating, so I started creating arrangements out of them !!! Succulent arrangements are fun to make any time of year, but since they truly love the sun, Spring and Summer is a great time of year to create.

A few weeks ago, I picked up a brush to give this cabinet a new look. I wanted to change from the usual brown stain. Really happy with how the new look turned out. Loved every step of this transformation β€οΈπŸ™‚

Godhadi ek prayatna #

For the first time , I tried my hands on making a Godhadi (In Marathi) / quilt. I am fascinated by how every saree used in making Godhadi once had a life. Once they are stitched together, they preserve time. To make this Godhadi , I chose cotton sarees. It is completely hand stitched. Every stitch I felt like a connection to tradition and the process of making was very satisfying. There's something very special about how it's made - using old sarees that hold so many beautiful memories and warmth, a beautiful journey of creating something unique. Since I wanted my Godhadi to be a bit thicker and cozier, I used traditional cotton Rajai as the inner layer. It has the right thickness and comfort to use as a floor mat during gatherings or Indian style floor sitting. Ideal for cozy chats, meals or just relaxing!!
So happy and satisfied to see the final product! Every stitch feels worth it πŸ™‚
