Our local tamariki are already getting creative for Matariki 🌌

Year 5 and 6 students from Ebbett Park and Lucknow Schools have already been busy creating lanterns inspired by Matariki for the Hawke’s Bay Lantern Design Competition.

With simple materials and plenty of enthusiasm, they developed their ideas, experimented with different materials and let the creative process guide them.

That’s what we love about this competition, there are no right or wrong answers. Just creativity, imagination and the opportunity to tell a story through light.

🏮 What will your lantern become?
