I cried this morning. Thinking about all the fathers lost in the Tibet floods, and also a very special couple in Tassy who lost their son last week.

If you are lucky enough like me to still have your Dad I have put a little shopping guide together for you.

My Dad is 85 years young, he is my biggest fan. Dad was a farmer for many years then when the Rodgernomic period happened he actually moved into retail. A big shift from lambing ewes, herding cattle, driving tractors etc.

If you ask me he was born for retail. Dad is a real people person. When Mum and Dad come to visit he is often chatting to customers in my shop. I know he misses retail, but him and Mum fill their days with other things now, like bowls and coffee dates.

I wont get to see him on fathers Day this year but we got to spend time with him last week.

Even if you aren't into gifts, this wee post will give you a heads up to call your Dad or even better plan a visit.

I had a bag just like this when I was younger.

It went everywhere with me... road trips, weekends away, uni, and all the little adventures in between.

It wasn't just a bag; it carried a season of my life.

When I met my friend in Northern Thailand and saw these being handcrafted by her, it brought all those memories flooding back.

Some things never lose their charm.
