🌱 Flower Bed Preparation

There’s something incredibly satisfying about getting things into balance.

Today I widened my second flower bed I planted last year so it now mirrors the first - same length, same width, perfectly parallel. I’ve also removed the unproductive lemon tree, letting much more light and sunshine reach the beds.

With the winter sun shining, it was the perfect day to dig in plenty of compost and well-rotted manure. Beautiful blooms always start with healthy soil.

That’s a wrap for the season!

Today is the final Bankot Blooms delivery to Dunshea's Deli for this summer. A huge thank you to the team at Dunshea’s and to everyone who has picked up a bunch along the way.

Now it’s time to tidy up the garden, enjoy arranging the last of the season’s flowers, and start the work behind the scenes. The tubers will be lifted, the soil prepared, and all the planning begins for next summer.

Looking forward to being back here with fresh blooms and some beautiful new colours in the summer 💐
