“A beautiful home is about much more than what’ s on the surface... It’ s in every space, form, material and function that makes up a home"

I’ m House Doctor and Interior Designer, Nadia Sakey. I transform houses that don’ t feel ‘ right’ into homes that are beautiful, functional, efficient and make their owners happy. With our busy modern lifestyles, we all deserve a place where we can truly relax and feel we belong. It doesn’ t have to be expensive. What’ s important is that our homes are an extension of ourselves, uniquely moulded to our lifestyles and personalities. Our homes also need to be designed to be able to adapt to future changes in our lives, while retaining a timeless, elegant look. My service as a house doctor is different because I not only look at beauty on the surface, but in every space, form, material and function that makes up your home. I have an exceptional eye for colour and detail as well as extensive design and house doctor qualifications. I am also a member of the Designers’ Institute of New Zealand. As a trusted and well known house doctor, you’ ll often see my advice featured in various design publications and online forums..

What I feel in what I see is peace and in the peace that I see here is balance, balance in the natural order and soft placement in the moments that are in infinite. ❤️

Once in a while in our lifetime, we meet that person that reminds us of the value of our authenticity and brings uninhibited joy into our lives. It is a privilege to call myself a friend of the beautiful Jody Hope Gibbons. Her opening show of Vintage at the Turua Gallery last night is a celebration of life each piece a reflection of her pure joy, light, love and of course the trials of life embodied in each stroke of colour, scratch and form that is the organized chaos of the world we live in but somehow a gentle reminder to look for the white space in between and create balance. ❤️ this gifted soul.
