I used to like red wine.
Actually, any wine, really.

Three years ago on that day I put my glass down and haven’t picked it up since.
This wine-coloured gluten-free dark chocolate heart, carved to stand upright and finished with a handmade sugar flower, felt like the perfect way to mark the occasion.
This heart is standing on its side, and in some ways so is my life. The same heart, just a different perspective.🤎

This little safari cake was created in warm tones of beige, orange and brown to celebrate a very special second birthday.

Soft vanilla cake layers were filled with homemade orange coulis and smooth milk chocolate ganache, with flavours chosen to match the warm earthy feel of the cake and make a sweet little milestone extra special 🦁✨

🍓 Strawberry Dream for the birthday girl 🍓

A soft strawberry shortcake made for a special little birthday celebration, layered and filled with whipped fresh cream and sweet organic Bell Road strawberries 🍓

Dandy is her favourite colourful character topper for that extra little birthday magic and a touch of fun ✨

One of the loveliest parts?
I was later sent a photo of the cake sliced inside, and seeing all those beautiful fresh strawberry layers is always the sweetest reward ❤️

This time, I wanted something different.
A vertical rainbow… handcrafted, shaped, left to dry, and built to stand tall on its own.

There’s something about it.
More structure, more presence, more intention ✨

An eggless strawberry cake, soft and full of flavour inside…
and a sky of delicate clouds wrapped around a rainbow that truly stands.

Always evolving, always refining.
And so happy this one became a beautiful surprise for a little birthday princess 👑🍓🌈

Lilac… or Syringa 💜

My mum’s favourite tree and colour, recreated here in New Zealand for her 70th.

I couldn’t get fresh lilac, so I sourced a realistic bouquet and hand-crafted every detail to match. Each tiny “button” made from isomalt, shaped and coloured by hand, fully edible.

Lemon gluten-free cake with raspberry coulis, finished in white chocolate ganache for a clean, travel-safe finish.

She loved it so much she couldn’t cut it… so it travelled back to Tauranga and was finally enjoyed later that evening 😂 💜

This cake is completely gluten-free… and completely hers. 💗

Inspired by Scarlett’s love for flamingos, I discovered something magical in their shape. The curve of the neck became her name, and the delicate leg, gently folded, became her number… four.

Every detail is fully edible, hand-crafted with care, from each petal to the final brush of colour. Inside, rich Dutch chocolate cacao layers filled with her favourite chocolate ganache.

Every cake tells a story… and this one is hers 🦩
