The way a home smells is one of the most underestimated parts of a considered interior. We choose our colours, our textiles, our furniture with such intention, and yet fragrance, the first thing you register when you walk through the door, is so often left to chance.

The Ecoya Electric Wax Melter changes that quietly. No flame, no fuss. Just warmth, scent, and a room that feels exactly as it should. Paired with Ecoya Soy Wax Melts, each melt gives you up to 30 hours of fragrance from a piece that earns its place in any considered home.

Six signature fragrances to choose from:
French Pear. Clean, fresh, universally loved.
Mandarin Gin. Bright and citrus-forward with a sophisticated edge.
Sandalwood and Amber. Warm, grounding, quietly sensual.
Lotus Flower. Elegant and spa-like.
Sweet Pea and Jasmine. Soft, delicate, romantic.
Guava and Lychee Sorbet. Vibrant and uplifting.

One beautifully simple ritual for every room in your home.

The Smith & Co. range from The Aromatherapy Co is one of those quiet discoveries that tends to stay - the kind of collection you notice at someone’s place and find yourself asking about.

Tabac & Cedarwood is the dark one. Spiced orange, black suede and tanned leather, layered over to***co flower and resinous tonka, settling into a warm base of cedarwood and liquid vanilla. It smells like a room someone lives in intentionally.

Amber & Freesia is the unexpected one. Lush wild berries and blooming freesia meet jasmine, then open into a heart of warmed amber and a deep woody base. Floral and bold at once - the kind of scent that lingers without announcing itself.

Tonka & White Musk is the radiant one. Zested lemon and mandarin peel cascade over an intoxicating heart of jasmine, finished with a twist of white musk. Luminous, clean, and quietly addictive.

Across candles, diffusers, body wash, lotion, hand cream, and room spray - each fragrance carries through in full. Available in store and online now, from $19.

We believe the things we surround ourselves with matter. In a quieter, more everyday way than we’re often told. The candle that makes an ordinary afternoon feel considered. The journal that turns a habit into a ritual. The vase that catches afternoon light in a way that stops you, just for a moment to appreciate it.

Small things. But not insignificant ones.

Everything we stock passes the same test: would we bring this home? And the answer is always a resounding yes.

One day, your children will not remember whether the house was spotless, whether you answered every email, or whether you got everything right.

But they will remember you.

They will remember the way you reached for their hand without thinking.
The way your voice comforted them when they were scared.
The way they looked for you first in every room because your presence made them feel safe.

To the mothers who feel exhausted in ways they can’t even explain…
The mothers holding it together while quietly running on empty.
The mothers carrying the invisible weight of everyone else’s needs before their own.
The mothers lying awake at night wondering if they’re doing enough.

You are.

One day, your children may forget the small details of their childhood, but they will never forget the feeling of being deeply loved by you.

And today, too, for the women finding Mother’s Day hard…
Those grieving their mothers.
Longing to become one.
Missing children they carried in their hearts.
Navigating loss, heartbreak, or silent ache beneath the surface of today.

We see you too.

Even on the days you feel like you are failing…
to someone, you are home.

Happy Mother’s Day. 🖤

These images always leave me with a lump in my throat. Can you imagine waving goodbye to your husband, father, brother, son, not knowing if you would ever see them again?

This morning I took Asher to his first dawn parade. Standing there together in the dark, we talked about why we were there, what was sacrificed, and what it means to remember. I watched his face change as the weight of it settled in. It is a conversation I will never forget having with him.

Today we remember all those who didn’t return, who sacrificed their lives for the lives we live today. For the families who lost so much. For the returned soldiers who fought so bravely and came home carrying their own battles. For the many who never found their way through.

Lest we forget. We will always remember.
“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.”

A small team update.
We’ve recently appointed a new Head of Design, and things have shifted… quite quickly.
The brief is no longer just about how a space looks, but how it feels:
softer, more playful, and a little less serious.
There have been some strong proposals so far, including:
a living room entirely made of bean bags
a coffee table with built-in snack storage
and a house-wide slide system
We’re keeping an open mind.
Please welcome Asher to the team.

There is a particular moment in late March when the light shifts. The shadows grow longer, the air through the house feels different, and something in you knows the season has changed.

Before you have consciously registered it, fragrance already has. Scent travels faster than any other sensory signal, and the right one can shift the emotional quality of a room without moving a single object.

Our autumn scent edit is live on the blog. A room-by-room guide to transitioning your home fragrance as the season settles in, plus the personal fragrance notes that feel most right on cool-weather skin.

There are very few objects that look exactly as good on the wall of a creative studio in New York as they do in a family home in Mount Maunganui. The Stendig is one of them.

It doesn’t try to fit in. At 122cm wide and 92cm high, black and white, nothing but numerals and a grid, it simply claims the wall it’s on and makes everything else in the room feel more deliberate by association. That’s a rare quality in any object, let alone a calendar.

Designed by Massimo Vignelli in 1966. Acquired by MoMA’s permanent collection the same year. Reprinted every year since, to the quiet satisfaction of people who care about what goes on their walls.

Low stock remaining for 2026. A separate oversized freight charge applies for NZ delivery and will be invoiced prior to shipping.
