A 'Spotlight' on products at the shop tonight.
'We Are Memory Keepers Air Brush'
Amazing projects are being created using this technique. So many ways in which these can be used. It could be colouring your flowers, mixed media lettering, colouring parts of a card or scrapbook page. It’s endless. Quite a few YouTube tutorials available. In shop are extra packs of the markers but the kit comes with one pack already.
Here is a YouTube video of the Airbrush being used. - The black stencil they are using does not come with the kit but the white one shown in the video does.

In a post going a long way back to the beginnings of The Creative Craft Room someone supplied a list of funny and cringe worthy quotes of our crafting habits .. . thought it was time to reshare these and see what others can contribute to add to the list!
This series of quotes has meaning for all us who like to craft.

"The weekend forecast is 100% chance of crafting with no signs of cooking or cleaning"
"I'm creative. you can't expect me to be tidy too."
If glitter is wrong, I don't want to be right"
"Life is a series of obstacles preventing me from crafting - just for you."
"Crafting fills my life and also my entire house - I'm so crafty"
"It's not an empty nest, It's a new craft studio."
"Crafting fills my heart and empties my wallet"
"Why buy it when you can make it for ten times the price."
"I'm a procraftinator - crafting is the best medicine"
"Money can't buy happiness but it can buy craft supplies"
"Happiness is a well stocked craft room"
"Walk a mile in my shoes and you'll find yourself in a craft store"

Well… when two people spot something in the shop that I made years ago and decide, “We should do this again!” — apparently before I know it, I’m running a class! 😂

So, we’re having a bit of an impromptu creative evening this Monday night from 6pm onwards!

We’re going to recreate this gorgeous canvas using paints, waxes, metal embellishments, wooden pieces and a whole lot of other creative goodies. The second photo shows the starting point… although my brain is a little stretched right now, so I think it might have to rest for tonight! 😂

If you’d like to come along, let your creative mind loose and see where it takes you, join us:

🎨 Monday 5th October – from 6pm onwards

You will need to bring an 8 x 8 canvas

Cost $15.00

And apparently one impromptu night wasn’t enough! 😂

A different group of ladies have suggested getting together on Tuesday night to finish off some of those projects that have been started… but somehow never quite got finished!

If you have a project sitting there waiting for some attention, bring it along and enjoy an evening of crafting, chatting and actually getting it finished!

✂️ Tuesday 6th October – from 5pm onwards

The shop will also be open so you can buy that last little embellishment to finish the project.

Two extra creative evenings this week — because sometimes the best plans are the ones we didn’t actually plan! 💕

It’s Card Week again!

As last week was a bit of an “extra” week in the month, we’re back to cards again this coming week!

Last week’s card was absolutely stunning, but I think it may have given a few of our brains a bit of a workout So this week we’re keeping things a little simpler — but still with lots to learn and plenty of creativity!

We’re going to make 5 gorgeous cards using a sheet from Mintay Papers.

Along the way we’ll be playing with:
✂️ Fussy cutting
✨ Peelcraft
🌸 Punches
💗 Dies
🎞️ Film strip acetate
📚 Different layering techniques to add dimension and effect

And the best part? You’ll go home with much more than just your 5 finished cards! There is enough on your Mintay sheet to make at least another 5 cards at home.

You’ll also receive:
💌 Envelopes for all 5 cards
📝 Your choice of sentiment for inside
✂️ Sheets of words and sentiments that you can cut out and use on future cards

Cost: $20 for all 5 cards

Please remember to bring your basic kit, especially some good-quality foam tape.

Class times:
🌸 Tuesday — 9am–12.30pm
🌸 Wednesday — 5pm–7pm
🌸 Thursday — 1pm–5pm

And YES... you will get all 5 cards made. I promise!!! 😂

I also promise there’ll be plenty of laughs along the way.

Be sure to book your spot and come along for a fun, creative week at The Creative Craft Room.
